You can become part of our Forum through two different methods: either by joining as a member organization or as an individual volunteer member. We do not have formal member registration; you can be part of this community simply by participating in the featured activities and following us on Facebook.

We are working to become the leading collaboration forum in the Nordics and Baltics among active volunteers in the Search and Rescue (SAR) operational field.

For organisations

For organisation or association to be member of our groving community, joining process is rather simple. Just send Email to any of our contact persons. Because our Forum does not have requirements for membership there is no requirement of official decision. It is fully in your organisations decision to be part of this forum!

For organizational members, we maintain contact information for coordination purposes in our webmail application. This contact information is used solely for informal communication purposes. We hope that you will spread our information internally within your organization as we provide it.

Events

Events are published in three places: on our Facebook group, in our informational newsletters sent via email, and here on our webpages.

Events are always hosted by one or multiple of our member organizations and are never arranged by the Forum itself. For more information about responsibilities and roles, please read the ”About Us” tab.

If you want your event to be open for Forum members, please send the event information to our contact person(s) via email. The requirements for an event to be published are as follows: the host must provide participants with a safe and secure event compliant with our rules and principles of open sharing of information.

Become volunteer for Nordic SAR Forum?

You can also participate as a volunteer! We are always open to event coordinators, Facebook administrators, and people assisting with our visibility. Contacting national organizations and local groups involved in Search and Rescue (SAR) volunteer work is rather important as we aim to grow in the Nordics and Baltics. Just send an email to us and descripe what would you like to do with us.
